Car Versus Box Truck Accident
Yadira Ruby Pineda, 32, of Selma, died Wednesday in a multi-vehicle crash at Clovis Avenue and American Avenue in Fresno.
The collision occurred around 5:45 p.m. on August 2nd, according to ABC 30 News.
The Selma woman was a passenger in a Honda Accord that crashed into the back of white box truck. The truck was stopped at the intersection at the time of the crash.
Upon impact, the truck went forward and crashed into a third vehicle. The woman from the Honda suffered fatal injuries. The driver of the Honda is suspected of DUI and was arrested on felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter charges.
Meanwhile, the driver in the third vehicle was treated for minor injuries.
Yadira Ruby Pineda was later identified by as the woman who died.
The case remains under investigation.
