Woman Killed In Siskiyou Train Crash Has Been Identified

The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office has remarked that the driver killed in a crash with a train in Siskiyou County was identified on Thursday as a 35-year-old Southern California woman.

Ashley Jennifer Hinson of Van Nuys was killed when her vehicle was struck by a train around 8:30 a.m. near Dorris. She was reportedly seen before the crash driving southbound on Highway 97 at a high-rate of speed. The vehicle of Ashley collided with the train as it was traveling through the crossing and her vehicle caught fire due to the collision. A dog was also found dead in the vehicle.
