Winchester Crash Leave 5 People Injured

Three children along with two adults were injured in a multi-vehicle collision on Tuesday evening.

According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the crash took place around 7:48 p.m. at the intersection of Winchester Road and 9th Street.

While the exact number is unknown, several vehicles collided at the intersection under unclear circumstances.

One of the children sustained major injuries while the other two children sustained only minor injuries.

The adults also sustained minor injuries and all five were treated at a nearby hospital.

Investigators are actively working to determine liability.

Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.

When it comes to filing a claim with this type of collision, it gets difficult. This is because multiple vehicles are involved so determining liability can take much longer. Multi-vehicle collision claims are more complex due to numerous victims, multiple negligent drivers, cross-claims and insufficient insurance.
