Walter Mendoza Injured in Glenn County Car Accident

On Tuesday, October 4th, Walter Mendoza was severely injured in a multi-vehicle collision. The accident took place on Interstate 5 near County Road 57.

Investigating the Cause of Injury for Walter Mendoza & Victims

According to California Highway Patrol, Mendoza was driving a semi-truck along the southbound region of the I-5. Mendoza attempted to avoid a car that had suddenly slowed in front of him, by veering off into the opposite lane. Mendoza collided with a van driver, Hector Delgado, which caused them both to hit the center median. Such an impact caused Mendoza’s semi-truck to flip onto the driver side, which was struck by a northbound Volvo semi-truck driven by 34-year-old Rana Mehdi of Sacramento. Whether the victims were transported to a hospital and their conditions are not currently known. Both sides of the I-5 were shut down for hours as investigators worked to clear the accident scene. Such is still under investigation.
