I-15 Freeway Crash near Dale Evans Parkway
A Ford Mustang and Toyota Camry were racing on the I-15 Freeway in Apple Valley on Thursday evening which resulted in a crash.
The collision took place just before 5 p.m. on December 16th near Dale Evans Parkway.
It is unclear at this time how many vehicles were affected; however, tow trucks were needed to remove several damaged vehicles from the roadway.
Authorities also temporarily shut down a section of the northbound I-15 for cleanup and investigation purposes.
No reports have been made regarding injuries.
In addition, one of the vehicles lost its engine as a result of the crash.
California Highway Patrol are actively investigating the accident.
Tips for after accident procedures:
- Always stop at the scene
- Call 911 if there are any injuries
- Get vehicle to safety if it is moveable, if it is not, put on hazards
- Exchange information with others involved and document everything
- Call 911 to report accident – they determine who was at fault
