Fresno Crash Results in Police Officer Hospitalized

A Fresno police officer sustained injuries following a two-vehicle collision on Thursday evening. 

The crash occurred on December 9th at the intersection of Tulare Street and R Street.

It was around 8:00 p.m. when the officer, traveling westbound, collided with a northbound Toyota Sequoia SUV. 

Upon impact, the officer became trapped inside the vehicle. After firefighters extricated him, the officer was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center. 

It is unclear at this time what led to the collision. There have also not been any injuries reported regarding the other driver. 

Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded.
