Apple Valley Motorcycle Accident Killed Trevor McGill on Bear Valley Road and Savage Lane

Authorities identified Trevor A. McGill, 23, of Apple Valley, as a motorcyclist killed Thursday night in a crash in Apple Valley.

At around 10:37 p.m. on September 14, the officers received reports of a fatal motorcycle crash on Bear Valley Road and Savage Lane, east of Deep Creek Road.

A Toyota Corolla, driven by a 32-year-old woman, was travelling westbound on Bear Valley Road from Deep Creek Road and at the same time, the motorcyclist was headed eastbound on the same road.

For unknown reasons, the Toyota made a left turn onto Savage Lane and collided with the motorcycle operated by McGill.

McGill was ejected from the motorcycle. He suffered life-threatening injuries and was declared dead at the crash site.

The car’s driver sustained no injuries, stayed at the scene, and cooperated with investigators.

During the on-scene investigation, Bear Valley Road was closed between the intersections of Deep Creek Road and Mockingbird Avenue for approximately four hours.

More information was not provided.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Major Accident Investigative Team (M.A.I.T) is investigating to determine the cause of the mishap.
