Woman Struck by Two Vehicles on Roberts Lane

Tiffany Amber Stevens, 30, of Bakersfield, died Sunday in a pedestrian accident at Roberts Lane, just west of MacArthur Drive in Oildale.

The deadly crash occurred around 9:29 p.m. on Oct. 1st in the Oildale area of Kern County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The young woman was reportedly walking in a south to north direction while attempting to cross Roberts Lane outside of any marked crosswalks. She apparently stopped and was struck in the No. 2 lane by a westbound driver in a Toyota and then hit a second time by a BMW traveling behind the Toyota.

Tiffany Stevens suffered major injuries and died at the scene.

Both of the motorists stopped and are cooperating with police.

Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the fatal pedestrian accident on Roberts Lane.
