Teri Wharton Injured in Crash on G Street in Merced
Teri Lynn Wharton, 57, has been identified as the woman who was struck and critically injured by a hit-and-run motorist in Merced last month, according to a local news source.
The accident happened on G Street and Olive Avenue on November 22.
According to the report, Wharton was hit by a vehicle whose driver fled from the scene.
Wharton was taken to a hospital with a broken jaw, a broken spine, broken hips, and broken legs.
The driver, identified as Horacio Garcilazo, was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI and hit-and-run.
No further details were released. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
