Woman, 35, Killed in Indio Crash is Identified

Teresa Herrera, 35, of Desert Hot Springs, died in a crash on Christmas Eve on the Interstate 10 Freeway at the Jefferson Street on-ramp in Indio.

The collision occurred at around 2:05 a.m. on Dec. 24th in the westbound lanes of the I-10 Freeway, according to the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.

The woman was traveling in a car driven by a 27-year-old Palm Springs man. The driver reportedly lost control and crashed the vehicle into a concrete barrier on the freeway. Teresa Herrera was thrown out of the car and died at the scene.
