One Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on Canoga Avenue 

A tanker truck and car were involved in a traffic collision on Friday morning in Canoga Park.

The accident occurred around 1 a.m. on Canoga Avenue, near Victory Boulevard. 

Per reports, the truck struck an unidentified car before losing control and crashing into a fountain. 

Following that, the truck then became engulfed in flames. 

Sadly, one occupant inside of the car died as a result of the crash. 

Authorities shut down Victory Boulevard and Canoga Avenue for a period of time.

An active investigation is underway to determine liability.

In 2020, studies showed that the state of California reported 3,723 motor-vehicle deaths which was an increase from 2019.
