Two Women Hurt in Accident on West Chase Street

A woman stole an ambulance from Sherman Oaks Hospital on Sunday morning, leading to a police pursuit.

The pursuit took place in Panorama around 2 a.m. before the ambulance slammed into an SUV, pickup truck, and pole. 

The accident took place on June 12th within the 14500 block of West Chase Street. 

It was also reported that two women in each car suffered undisclosed injuries and were hospitalized for treatment.

The driver of the ambulance was booked into Van Nuys Jail. 

An active investigation is underway.

Tips for after accident procedures:

  • Get vehicle to safety if it is moveable, if it is not, put on hazards
  • Exchange information with others involved and document everything 
  • Call 911 to report accident – they determine who was at fault
