Siskiyou County Man Dies In Crash

On Tuesday, a 69-year-old Siskiyou County man died after his car went off a highway and slammed into a tree, the California Highway Patrol said.

It was remarked by the CHP that dispatchers were alerted shortly after 9:45 a.m. that a blue Ford Focus hit a tree off Highway 3 north of Naomi Drive near Etna. The emergency personnel on arrival recognized the man as a resident of Etna and started medical aid. The driver, though not yet publicly identified, was taken to Fairchild Medical Center in Yreka where he was later pronounced dead, the CHP said.
