I-5 Freeway Accident Leaves 1 Severely Hurt
Multiple vehicles collided on Sunday evening in Santa Ana, resulting in major injuries.
CHP reported that the accident occurred at 6:38 p.m. within the northbound lanes of the I-5 Freeway.
A Jeep Cherokee, Tesla, and Audi SUV were involved in the crash that started when the Tesla swerved across all lanes.
The vehicles ended up blocking the Nos. 1, 2 & HOV lanes following the wreck.
One person sustained severe injuries as a result and was transported to the hospital.
An active investigation remains underway.

- Always stop at the scene
- Call 911 if there are any injuries
- Get vehicle to safety if it is moveable, if it is not, put on hazards
- Exchange information with others involved and document everything
- Call 911 to report accident – they determine who was at fault
