Sedigheh Pisheh Dies after Being Hit by Car on Gilman Drive in La Jolla
The San Diego Department of Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the woman who died after being struck by a car last month in La Jolla.
The pedestrian accident happened at around 8:34 p.m. on October 28, on Gilman Drive, according to the San Diego Police Department.
73-year-old Sedigheh Sedaghat Pisheh and her 49-year-old daughter were walking across Gilman when they were struck by a southbound 2017 Toyota iM driven by a 44-year-old woman.
Both women were transported to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla where Pisheh succumbed to her injuries the following day.
Police say alcohol was not a factor in this incident.
The San Diego Police Traffic Division is investigating the cause of the accident.
