Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 101

Four vehicles collided in Santa Rosa on Sunday afternoon, leaving one person injured on March 27th.

Per CHP, the crash occurred at 12:23 p.m. within the southbound lanes of Highway 101 at Mark West Springs Road.

A BMW SUV, Toyota Camry, black SUV, and a fourth vehicle were among those involved.

One person suffered a broken left ankle, abrasions to the forehead, and chest pains and was taken to Kaiser Permanente Santa Rosa Medical Center.

Authorities shut down all southbound lanes for a period of time following the wreck.

Investigators are actively working to determine fault for the accident.

Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.

When it comes to filing a claim with this type of collision, it gets difficult. This is because multiple vehicles are involved so determining liability can take much longer. Multi-vehicle collision claims are more complex due to numerous victims, multiple negligent drivers, cross-claims and insufficient insurance.
