Two-Vehicle Collision on Highway 101 Leaves 1 Hurt
Severe injuries were sustained in a two-vehicle collision on Wednesday morning in San Mateo.
According to CHP, the accident took place just before 2:30 a.m. on Highway 101.
A sedan and box truck collided within the southbound lanes for unknown reasons.
One person was left with major injuries as a result.
Tow trucks were also needed to remove the vehicles from the scene.
The crash remains under investigation to determine liability.

- Call 911 if there are any injuries
- Get vehicle to safety if it is moveable, if it is not, put on hazards
- Exchange information with others involved and document everything
- Call 911 to report accident – they determine who was at fault
