Car Accident on 5 Freeway near Cosumnes River Boulevard in Sacramento

At least one person was injured in a Monday morning car crash in south Sacramento.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on northbound 5 Freeway near Cosumnes River Boulevard at around 12:09 a.m.

Officials say two vehicles were involved in the collision, but the report did not state how the accident happened.

One person reportedly suffered minor injuries in the accident and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

CHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
