DUI Collision Leaves 33-Year-Old Man Dead

A man by the name of Russell Bennet died as the result of a DUI crash on Monday night in Turlock.

The fatal collision occurred at 11:10 p.m. on December 20th, on Monte Vista Avenue at Carpenter Road.

CHP reported that Bennet was traveling eastbound in a Chevrolet before failing to stop at a red light.

As a result, a southbound Nissan struck Bennett’s vehicle.

Upon impact, the Chevrolet rolled over multiple times, causing both occupants to be ejected.

Bennett was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and sadly died at the scene.

His passenger, Danielle Harder, suffered major injuries and was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.

In addition, Victor Flores Barrera, the driver of the Nissan, sustained only minor injuries. He also received treatment at a nearby hospital.

Alcohol and/or drugs were considered to be factors in the crash. An active investigation is underway.

JT Legal Group sends our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Russell Bennett.
