One Person Seriously Injured After Highway 101 Crash
Two vehicles collided on Monday morning in Santa Barbara resulting in major injuries.
According to CHP, the crash took place on November 15th just before noon on Highway 101.
A Honda SUV and a minivan were the two vehicles involved and the impact caused the minivan to rollover multiple times.
The Honda also overturned and landed on its roof due to the impact.
One unidentified person suffered major injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Further details have not been released pending investigation.
Rollovers account for only 3% of all serious collisions; however, 30% of them result in a fatality.
According to the NHTSA, almost 80% of rollovers involve one car. Additionally, roughly 250,000 vehicles that are involved in a rollover are left undriveable.
