Several Injured, One Killed in Victorville Accident 

A fatal rollover collision occurred on Sunday, November 7th in Victorville near Scandia. 

20-year-old Anthony Andres was driving a Toyota Camry before losing control at a curve. 

As a result, Andres rolled over multiple times in the 12600 block of Mariposa Road. 

Emergency personnel arrived at the location around 10:23 p.m. to find the Toyota in a vacant dirt area. 

Despite life-saving efforts, Andres sadly died at the scene. 

The other passengers in the vehicle were also transported to Desert Valley Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. 

Investigators are actively working to determine what may have factored into the collision. 

Statistics show that rollover accidents account for about one-third of all fatalities in the U.S. In  addition, 30% of vehicle fatalities are rollover crashes. These types of accidents are far more likely to result in a fatality than non-rollover crashes. 

In the U.S. one’s odds of dying in a car accident is around 1 in 107.
