Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on I-15 Freeway is Identified as San Diego Man

Robert Cole Sutton, 25, of San Diego, died in a motorcycle versus car accident on Dec. 1st while riding on the Interstate 15 Freeway in San Diego.

The collision occurred at around 9:55 p.m. in the southbound HOV lane of the I-15, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner report.

The 25-year-old San Diego man was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle when he crashed into a Honda SUV that was stopped in the HOV lane following a crash with two other vehicles.

Upon impact, the young man was thrown of his bike onto the roadway.

Paramedics responded to help the injured man and transported him to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla where he died shortly after at 10:39 p.m. the same day. The coroner later identified the victim as Robert Cole Sutton.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the motorcycle accident on the 15 Freeway.
