Crash Victim Hit on Freeway in San Diego
San Diego Resident Richard Rollo, 61, Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 805 Freeway in Miramar Area.
Richard Rollo, a 61-year-old from San Diego, tragically lost his life in a pedestrian accident on the Interstate 805 Freeway in the Miramar area. The incident occurred around 12 p.m. on July 28th, as reported by the Times of San Diego.
Initial reports indicate that Richard Rollo’s car was rear-ended by a semi-truck while he was driving north on the I-805 Freeway. Both drivers pulled over just north of the I-805 transition ramp from state Route 52.
After the collision, Richard Rollo exited his Acura sedan and approached the semi-truck driver’s vehicle, likely to exchange information. Tragically, as he crossed the freeway connector, an oncoming pickup truck struck him.
Sadly, Richard Rollo succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The incident is currently under investigation to determine further details and circumstances surrounding the accident.
