3 Injured in Redding Rear-End Collision
California Highway Patrol reported a rear-end collision in Redding on Tuesday night, resulting in 3 people injured, including a Sheriff Deputy.
The accident took place around 9:30 p.m. on January 11th, on Highway 299.
It was reported that a pickup truck was driving eastbound when it stalled and its lights stopped working.
A Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputy did not see, and rear-ended the truck.
As a result, two occupants of the truck suffered minor injuries and were taken to Mercy Medical.
The Deputy also sustained minor injuries and was taken to the same hospital.
An active investigation is underway.

- Get vehicle to safety if it is moveable, if it is not, put on hazards
- Exchange information with others involved and document everything
- Call 911 to report accident – they determine who was at fault
