Ramesh Sastry Killed in Morgan Hill Motorcycle Accident

68-year-old Ramesh Babu Krishna Sastry has been identified as the motorcyclist who died in a crash last week near Morgan Hill.

The fatal motorcycle accident happened at about 2:45 p.m. on Nov. 22 at Uvas and Watsonville roads, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Ramesh and his passenger were riding a motorcycle on Uvas Road approaching Watsonville Road when they failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into a Toyota Camry.

Both riders were ejected from the motorcycle.

Ramesh, a resident of Los Gatos, died at the accident scene, according to the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The passenger was airlifted to Valley Medical Center with major injuries.

The 41-year-old Prunedale man driving the Toyota was unhurt.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
