Woman, 58, Identified as Crash Victim

Rachel Ann Marquez, 58, of Bakersfield, died last week in a two-vehicle crash on Wilson Road in Bakersfield.

The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the Bakersfield woman as one of two drivers involved in the Oct. 25th collision.

The traffic accident occurred at around 5:12 p.m. on Wednesday last week in the 6400 block of Wilson Road, police said.

It’s unknown at this time what led up to the accident.

Paramedics responded and located Rachel Ann Marquez suffering from major injuries, but she later died following the accident. The second driver survived unharmed and cooperated with the police investigation.

Authorities do not suspect drugs or alcohol were a factor. They have not yet released their findings of which driver is at fault for the accident.
