Multi-Vehicle Accident on 80 Freeway 

A total of three vehicles were involved in a collisioni on Wednesday morning in Pinole, California. 

CHP reported that the accident happened at 10:39 a.m. within the westbound lanes of the 80 Freeway, near the Pinole Valley Road off-ramp.

The vehicles involved were a Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, and a third unknown vehicle. 

One of the involved persons was elderly and they suffered minor injuries. 

Tow trucks were also needed to remove two vehicles from the scene. 

Investigators are actively working to determine liability. 

Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.
