Man Fatally Struck at 24th Street and Highland Avenue
An unidentified man was hit and killed by a vehicle in National City Tuesday morning.
The incident took place on July 5th around 8:20 a.m.
Per reports, a northbound Dodge Ram was turning onto 24th Street from Highland Avenue when it struck the man.
The pedestrian was walking within a marked crosswalk. Sadly, he died at the scene due to his injuries.
It was also reported that the involved driver stayed at the scene and was fully cooperative with authorities.
Authorities shut down the intersection for a period of time as crews worked at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
