Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Highway 62
The Riverside County Coroner’s office has identified the pedestrian who died on Monday as Dylan Motte, 25.
Per CHP, the incident took place at 2:10 p.m. on May 9th on Highway 62.
A westbound Ford F150 drifted into the center median and struck Motte along with his truck.
Due to the impact, Motte’s work truck was sent into another lane, causing a collision with a Toyota Rav4.
Paramedics rushed Motte to Desert Regional Medical Center where he sadly died.
Additionally, the driver, Ricardo Garcia, along with his passenger, suffered moderate injuries and were also taken to DRMC.
The crash remains under investigation.
