33-Year-Old Woman Dies After Being Hit by Car 

Yangyang Liu, 33, was killed in a pedestrian accident on November 26th in Pasadena, California. 

It was reported around 11:19 a.m. on Friday morning at Allen Avenue and San Pasqual Street. 

Per police reports, a BMW 328i was driving southbound when the driver failed to yield at the intersection’s stop sign. 

Liu was struck as a result and sadly died at the scene. 

The 20-year-old unidentified male driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities. 

Police also added that speed was a factor.

According to statistics, there was a 26% increase in pedestrian deaths in California from 2014-2018.

In addition, California’s pedestrian fatality rate is about 25% higher than the national average.
