Highway 111 Collision Results in Death of 56-Year-Old Man
A rear-end collision resulted in the death of Gabriel Casiano Martinez Sunday morning, July 3rd.
It was around 1:30 a.m. when Jackson George, 34, slammed into the back of a vehicle occupied by Martinez, 56, of Gardena.
The accident took place on Highway 111 just north of Gateway Drive.
George was reportedly speeding at the time of the crash and also driving under the influence. He also had a previous DUI arrest from out of state.
Unfortunately, Martinez was declared dead at the scene. The passenger in his vehicle, a 55-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries and was hospitalized for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation.
