1 Injured in Motorcycle Accident on 5 Freeway near Highway 78 in Oceanside

One person was hospitalized after being injured in a motorcycle accident in Oceanside on Monday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on 5 Freeway near Highway 78 at around 7:18 a.m.

A blue motorcycle and a white Chevrolet Colorado were involved in the collision. However, the events leading up to the accident were not immediately established.

At least one person was injured in the accident and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

More details about the crash were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
