Road 426 Accident Results in Death of 18-Year-Old Man

A Coarsegold resident, ID’d as Jeramy Smith, 18, was killed in a traffic collision on Sunday in Oakhurst.

Per CHP, the accident took place on May 8th around 9:15 p.m. on Road 426.

Smith was driving a BMW when it collided with a Honda Civic for unknown reasons. 

His female passenger, also 18, was ejected from the vehicle as a result. 

Sadly, Smith was declared dead at the scene. The woman was hospitalized in critical condition.

Additionally, the 23-year-old and 25-year-old men who were occupants of the Honda were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
