Natividad Deanda Killed in Crash in Sonora
The man who was killed in a crash in Sonora on Friday afternoon has been identified as Natividad Deanda, 89, of Sonora, according to the Tuolumne County Coroner.
The crash took place on Tuolumne Road and Black Oak Road at about 4:10 p.m . January 26.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Deanda was driving a 1992 Toyota pickup south on Black Oak Road when he tried to turn onto Tuolumne Road and collided with a GMC Envoy.
Deanda was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The other driver, Janice Greengo, of Jamestown, was wearing a seatbelt and sustained minor injuries.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected in the incident, the CHP said.
The crash is under investigation.
