One Person Seriously Injured in Pileup Crash
A motorcycle, Dodge Ram pickup and a Toyota Camry were involved in an accident on Highway 91 on Sunday afternoon.
California Highway Patrol reported that the multi-vehicle crash took place around 5:13 p.m. within the westbound lanes.
Upon impact, the motorcyclist was ejected and lying down between the Nos. 1 & 2 lanes.
Paramedics rushed one person with major injuries to UCI Medical Center. Their condition is unknown.
Additionally, another involved person was cited with a violation and taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
An active investigation is underway to determine liability.
Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.
When it comes to filing a claim with this type of collision, it gets difficult. This is because multiple vehicles are involved so determining liability can take much longer. Multi-vehicle collision claims are more complex due to numerous victims, multiple negligent drivers, cross-claims and insufficient insurance.
