Moua Ly Identified as Man Struck and Injured by Car on Hughes Ave near Weber Ave in Fresno
77-year-old Moua Ly has been identified as the man who was hospitalized after being struck by a car on Tuesday morning in Fresno.
At around 6:30 a.m., the Fresno Police Department responded to reports of a pedestrian accident on Hughes Avenue, north of Weber Avenue.
The man was walking east on Hughes when he was struck by a Chevy.
The man suffered major head trauma and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
Authorities say Ly was using a walker at the time of the accident.
The driver reportedly had a suspended license. The driver is being evaluated for DUI, according to a local news source.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
