Austin Spirz Killed in Motorcycle Accident

A motorcyclist who died after colliding with a car on Sheridan Road in Campo on Thanksgiving day has been identified as Austin Nathaniel Spirz, 26.

Spirz was riding his Kawasaki motorcycle on Sheridan Road near Custer Road when a 2015 Jeep Wrangler, driven by a 45-year-old Campo man, crossed the solid double yellow line and struck the bike and Spirz.

Investigators said Spirz was pronounced dead at the scene, adding that he died of blunt force trauma to the head, torso, and limbs.
