Fatal Accident on 580 Freeway Leaves 1 Dead 

Investigators are working to determine fault regarding a motorcycle accident that occurred Wednesday morning.

The deadly accident took place in Castro Valley at 7:12 a.m. on the 580 Freeway.

A motorcycle and small SUV crashed within the eastbound lanes near Grove Way for unknown reasons. 

The rider was killed upon impact. Their name is being withheld pending notification of kin. 

Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded.
