Rider Hurt on 105 Freeway 

A motorcycle and car collided in Lynwood on Wednesday morning, resulting in major injuries.

The accident took place on the Interstate 105 Freeway near the Long Beach Boulevard off ramp around 8:19 a.m. 

According to CHP reports, the car was in the process of exiting the carpool lane when it collided with the oncoming motorcyclist. 

The rider wound up in the westbound No. 1 lane and a witness called 911 for medical treatment. 

Paramedics rushed the rider to the hospital with major injuries. Their condition at this time is unknown. 

A tow truck was also needed to remove the damaged motorcycle from the scene. 

There also has not been any information released regarding the other involved driver. 

Investigators are actively working to determine liability.
