Motorcycle Rider Struck, Killed at Sepulveda and 405 Freeway

Morgan Edwards, 21, of Los Angeles, died in a motorcycle accident Wednesday night on Sepulveda Boulevard near the Interstate 405 Freeway.

The fiery crash between the motorcycle and an auto occurred in the 3100 block of South Sepulveda Boulevard in the Palms neighborhood, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to the crash scene near the freeway around 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 20th, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and located the two motorists and the car was on fire after the crash. Firefighters extinguished the flames, but sadly the man riding the bike died in the collision. He was later identified by the coroner as Morgan Edwards.

A woman suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital, the report said. Neither one of the victims suffered burn injuries from the fire.

Authorities closed down multiple lanes on South Sepulveda Boulevard to conduct an investigation into liability for the motorcycle accident on Sepulveda Boulevard.
