Car Crash on 5 Freeway Results in Injuries 

Investigators are working to determine fault regarding a multi-vehicle collision that took place in Irvine Wednesday morning. 

CHP reported that the accident occurred at 9:39 a.m. within the northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway on February 16th. 

A total of three vehicles collided under unclear circumstances just south of Culver Drive.

It was also reported that an unknown number of people sustained minor injuries as a result. 

Further details will be provided once an investigation is concluded. 

Multi-vehicle collisions are typically more common in busy intersections or highways. Speeding, weather, distractions, and drowsy or intoxicated driving are main reasons negligent drivers cause these types of wrecks.
