24-year-old Miguel-Moya Perez Was Killed In Crash

The accident took place in Lake Elsinore on Highway 74, near Riverside Street. According to Cal Fire, the cause for the crash is unknown and currently under investigation. 

The Riverside County Fire Department was notified of the incident around 8:08 a.m.

Perez was pronounced dead at the scene and shortly after, the Riverside County Coroner identified the victim of the crash. 

Highway 74 was closed down as a result of the collision and the condition of the other driver is unknown. 

In 2020, studies showed that the state of California reported 3,723 motor-vehicle deaths which was an increase from 2019.
