Motorcyclist, Passenger Killed in Collision ID’d

Michael Connors, 55, of Fresno, and Arba Rene Smith, 50, of Clovis, both died in a Fresno motorcycle accident on the Fourth of July at Chestnut Avenue and Clinton Avenue.

The motorcyclist and his passenger were both identified by the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department.

A pickup truck and the motorcycle collided around 11 p.m. on July 4th, according to the Fresno Police Department.

Man, Woman Killed in Fresno Accident

The pickup truck reportedly struck the motorcycle which was carrying the man and woman. They had just left a local high school fireworks show, according to a report by Your Central Valley.

Both people were wearing helmets, but still they suffered major injuries. The man died at the scene and the woman was taken to a hospital where they later died from their injuries. .

Meanwhile, investigators are working to determine fault for the fatal Fresno motorcycle accident.

They questioned the driver of the car and they do not suspect alcohol and or drugs were a factor in the crash.
