Motorcyclist Struck and Killed in Fontana
Chino Resident Michael Banks, 46, Fatally Injured in Fontana Motorcycle Crash.
Michael Banks, a 46-year-old resident of Chino, tragically passed away on Sunday morning following a motorcycle accident at the intersection of Citrus Avenue and Slover Avenue in Fontana. The collision, involving two vehicles, took place around 8:33 a.m. on July 29th, as reported by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
Fontana Police Department responded to the crash scene on Citrus Avenue, just north of Slover Avenue and south of the eastbound Interstate 10 Freeway on ramp. Michael Banks, identified as the motorcyclist, was found down in the roadway. He was immediately transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center due to major injuries. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries around 9:21 p.m. the same day.
