Motorcyclist Killed in Crash at Lynn and Kelley Road
Investigators are working to determine fault regarding a deadly motorcycle accident that occurred in Thousand Oaks Saturday night.
It was around 6:20 p.m. when a motorcycle collided with an SUV at Lynn and Kelley Road in the Newberry Park community.
Matt Wennerstrom, 24, was reportedly traveling eastbound at the time of the accident. He sadly died at the scene.
The SUV driver was also taken to a nearby hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Authorities shut down the intersection for hours pending cleanup and investigation purposes.
Wennerstrom was known as a hero. In 2018, at the age of 20, he shielded multiple people at a bar when a gunman opened fire.
He was the reason 35 people were able to escape the bar and avoid gunfire.
