Matias Lopez Dies After Pedestrian Accident

Matias Lopez, 52, succumbed to his injuries following a pedestrian hit-and-run that happened near Pacific and Mountain View Avenue.

An unknown vehicle struck Lopez at the intersection in Oxnard, CA and fled the scene shortly after. Reports revealed that the victim and the driver were involved in a verbal altercation prior to the collision.

When emergency personnel arrived at the scene, they found Lopez seriously injured. An ambulance rushed him to the hospital, where he eventually died due to the extent of his injuries.

Police later identified the suspect who fled the scene and arrested him for vehicular manslaughter and other charges.
