Woman, 87, Struck and Killed in Irvine
Elderly Pedestrian Maria Servas, 87, Fatally Struck by Jeep Wrangler at Irvine Boulevard and Marketplace in Irvine.
Maria Servas, an 87-year-old pedestrian, tragically lost her life in an accident at the intersection of Irvine Boulevard and Marketplace in Irvine. The incident occurred around 7:45 p.m. on Friday, July 21st, as reported by the Irvine Police Department.
According to police, a driver in a Jeep Wrangler struck Maria Servas while she was walking northbound in a crosswalk at the intersection. The Jeep Wrangler was traveling westbound on Irvine Boulevard toward Marketplace when the collision took place.
Despite the prompt response of paramedics, Maria Servas was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the black Jeep stopped at the scene and cooperated fully with the authorities.
