Motorcycle Accident Reported in Fresno
A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries following a collision that took place at Maroa Avenue and Fedora Avenue in Fresno.
According to news reports, the accident happened Thursday evening shortly before 7 p.m. The crash began when a man riding a motorcycle traveling north on Maroa Avenue approached Fedora Avenue. Next, for unknown reasons, he collided with a white van in the intersection.
When emergency crew arrived at the scene, near Shields Avenue, they found the rider had suffered major leg injuries. He was rushed to the Community Regional Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition. Further information about the victim has not been disclosed.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver parked near the site following the wreck. Officers forced the area of Maroa and Fedora avenues to shut down after the collision. The cause of the Fresno crash is still under investigation.
