Husband and Wife Hit & Killed in San Diego 

A married couple from Canada were killed in a pedestrian accident in San Diego last Wednesday. 

The two have been identified as Madelyn Monica Zimmer, 69, and Jerome Zimmer, 71. 

According to reports, the incident occurred just before 6 p.m. on January 19th on Harbor Drive. 

An SUV reportedly struck the man and woman as they were attempting to cross. 

Sadly, both had died from their injuries by the time paramedics arrived. 

The involved driver also stopped at the scene to call 911 and was fully cooperative with authorities. 

An active investigation is underway.
