Luis Carrillo-Castaneda Arrested in Deadly Van Nuys Crash
5 people were injured and one woman killed in a fatal high-speed crash on Sunday night in Van Nuys.
According to reports, the incident took place at 8:05 p.m. on Woodley Avenue.
Authorities mentioned 18-year-old Luis Carrillo-Castaneda was driving at a high rate of speed and participating in a nearby street takeover.
In addition, Castaneda was also doing donuts in the middle of an intersection before crashing into a building.
His vehicle left 200 feet of skid marks and also traveled about 75 feet into the back of the building.
As a result of his reckless driving, a woman in her 20s was also killed and 5 others were injured.
The 18-year-old also fled the scene but was later identified and booked into jail on suspicion of murder.
